Certified Groomer Program –
As an ABC Certified Groomer, you will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with clients and their pets. A professional grooming career affords individuals a creative profession that is also fulfilling, as it contributes to the overall health and well-being of a variety of animals. Groomer’s responsibilities include; bathing, brushing, clipping and manicuring pets on a regular basis. As a groomer you will also be asked to recommend different products to pet parents that will help to enrich the pet’s look and quality of life. ABC Certified Groomers can work in a grooming salon, mobile grooming enterprise, animal shelter, veterinary office, or even start their own grooming businesses. In addition, because grooming professionals spend a great amount of time handling pets and inspecting them closely, they are most likely to detect physical conditions that owners may not otherwise notice. Properly checking the animal’s ears, teeth, eyes, coat and overall condition is vital to providing clients with excellent grooming services and goes a long way in preventative health care. ABC course materials include over 25 grooming tools that are essential for all groomers to have as part of their toolboxes, including clippers, blades, shears, brushes and combs. Tuition for the ABC Certified Groomer Program is $3,745 and includes all course materials.
Personal Program Manager –
Although the first portion of the program is done in the privacy of your home, you will not be alone. An ABC Program Manager will be appointed to you upon enrollment and they will be with you every step of the way! They will be there to guide you through the program, counsel you, answer all your questions, and grade all your exams. Your personal Program Manager will contact you shortly after enrollment to get acquainted and welcome you into the program. At that time, you will be given the Program Manager's toll free number and email address for future interactions as you journey through the program.

After students successfully complete the in-home study portion of their course they are authorized to move on to their hands-on externship. ABC assigns students to work with either professional dog trainers or veterinary clinics/hospitals, depending on the program. Training locations are available nationwide, in all fifty states right in your neighborhood! Once there, students utilize the knowledge acquired during the home study and apply it to real-life, hands-on working situations. The externship is a priceless component of the ABC courses and will set you apart from the competition with future employers.
